Project Conclusion

Enhancing Quality of Life and Building Better Communities

  • ISS works very closely with local Job Centres and other local agencies, over the wide geographical spread of the contract, to ensure that opportunities are provided to employ local people. In fact over 85% of our core staff on this contract are from the local area.
  • ISS invest into the local economy by employing suppliers from the local areas ensuring that we defend the marketplace in which we work and support local businesses and the overall prosperity of the region.

Employee Engagement and Development
  • People are key to our success and with employees scattered over a region which spans some 320 miles, ISS together with ACHA have developed a regular Open Day where all teams are able to get together in a central location to share best practice, openly discuss issues and carry out some necessary team bonding. The day is formed around an agenda which includes health & safety, training and operational issues. These days are attended by representatives from ACHA and ensure that ISS has the right people to get it right first time!

Creating Better Neighbourhoods
  • ISS aspires to make a positive impact on the communities in which it works. Community partnership projects with ACHA include:
  • Engaging with the children of Dalmally Primary School to plant out some beautiful spring time plants in containers placed in the outside environment. ISS both donated the plants and worked with the children on the day using their expertise to teach the children some basic gardening skills.
  • Sitting on the panel of judges for ACHAís Garden In Bloom competition. This is an opportunity to recognise the hard work and commitment from tenants in maintaining their gardens. Winners receive an engraved vase and vouchers.

Client Testimonial:
"The contract is running very well and ISS has proved to be very professional. The whole team has been helpful and has demonstrated pride in their work and has provided a good service to our tenants. Our ISS Contract Manager has a broad knowledge of the industry, and has been invaluable in the effective management of grounds maintenance activities within our schemes. In addition to contract work, we use the ISS teams for house clearances, winter gritting schemes etc. and they offer a flexible service reasonably priced. In short, I would have no hesitation in recommending ISS for use on any similar contract."
